Breedon WI AGM and Games Night

Breedon on the Hill WI holds its Annual General Meeting this month in the form of a brief business session. This will be followed by a Games Night that promises to entertain and delight. Breedon on the Hill WI welcomes guest speaker Prof. Gavin Murphy who is an academic cardiac surgeon at the University of Leicester. He is the Director of the Leicester Clinical Trials Unit (LCTU) and Cardiothoracic Surgery Lead for the Royal College of Surgeons of England Clinical Trials Initiative. In 2012 he was appointed the British Heart Foundation Chair of Cardiac Surgery at the University of Leicester. Witchcraft in Leicestershire

Join one of Bosworth Battlefield’s Guides for a fascinating talk about the women accused of witchcraft in 17th Century Leicestershire. Focusing on the Flowers family of Belvoir and those involved in the Husbands Bosworth witch trials, the talk will also explore the lives of Elizabeth Woodville and Black Annis, as well as one of the last witch trials in England. £6 per person, pre-booking essential.
Wildegoose Nursery - Over The Years & Through The Seasons

Jack and Laura Wilgoss run a small independent nursery and garden housed within the old brick walls of a former kitchen garden, nestled in the beautiful Shropshire Hills. They started as specialist growers of hardy perennial viola but their range now encompasses many flowering perennials and grasses. Jack will be joining us to tell us the story of the nursery.
